The Roasting Bean is a Woman-owned, mother-daughter collaboration, started in Minnesota and evolving in Texas. Our goal is to provide coffee that raises the standard of freshness and uniquely rich flavor, utilizing only the best Organic, Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee.

Julie Ambach is the mother of 3 adult children, two adorable four-legged babies, and grandmother to two energetic young boys. Not one to sit still, Julie is an entrepreneur at heart and founded The Roasting Bean with the support of her husband, Gary. A lover of great coffee, Julie began researching coffee after retiring and seeing the opportunity to provide a product that would raise the bar for freshness, flavor and ethics.

Nicolette Konecny is Julie’s daughter, a hair stylist by trade and life-long coffee enthusiast. Also, an entrepreneur, Nicolette seized the opportunity to use her creativity in partnership with her mother’s vision to create a product that took coffee to a whole new level. Starting with side-by-side taste tests of common coffee brands, she was blown away to discover the difference between her usual coffee choices and the freshly roasted flavor, color and aroma of their freshly-roasted innovation
